Chanterelle

Two-piece evening wear dress inspired by chanterelle and pleurotus djamor mushrooms with a pleated top and skirt. Both pieces are made from fabrics sourced from FabScrap with a lettuce hem finish. Underneath is a knit halter top and underwear for modesty.
Original Concept Art:
The top is pleated and stiffened with a spray-on fabric stiffener for sturdiness. The lettuce hem is created with an encased thin wire for the wearer to create their own curls. The skirt's lettuce hem is created by encasing fishing wire to create a natural curl.
